Special Ingredients

dac ® OMEGA EXCEL provides a direct, highly bioavailable
source of DHA omega-3 fatty acids, natural Vitamin E, and
niacin to support reproductive efficiency, muscle function, and metabolic performance in horses.

Omega-3 fatty acids include ALA (plant sources), EPA, and
DHA (marine sources). There is no EPA or DHA in plant-based
omega sources such as flax, chia, or hemp. Horses do not utilize ALA directly and must convert it to EPA and DHA—an inefficient process—making direct DHA supplementation essential.

DHA is a major polyunsaturated fatty acid in semen and muscle cell membranes. Supplementation with DHA has been shown to support semen quality, sperm motility, fertility, and muscle and neurological function in working horses. Omega-3 fatty acids may also support Vitamin E status.

Niacin (Vitamin B3) is a key precursor to NAD (nicotinamide
adenine dinucleotide), a central coenzyme in cellular energy
metabolism. NAD plays a critical role in converting nutrients
into usable energy and supporting normal cellular function,
circulation, and metabolic efficiency—particularly important
for breeding horses and performance horses with high energy
demands.
